Summarizing the Steps

Before You Begin:
Know the level of meditation you are intending. Guidance? Is it guidance of a more “earthly” nature? Guidance for Spirit? Or are you wanting to experience the deepest level of Consciousness or Love you can attain? Or are wanting to be open to the highest and best whatever that might be for this meditation?

Do whatever you do that brings you to your state of relaxation and ease.

When you are relaxed, begin your prayer. If you agree with the power in the spoken word, speak or whisper your prayer. Begin with a prayer for yourself, reiterating that you are intending the highest and best for yourself and that you are continually surrounded by the Light. In your prayer, build your expectation until you have reached a place of faith. From this place of faith and belief, say a prayer for any others you feel called to, feeling your joy in the prayer being answered in just the perfect way.

Make a statement of gratitude about the prayers being answered. Now make a statement of gratitude for what you are about to receive. Doing all this has begun to open the path for you. If you want, allow your lips to remain slightly parted so you can whisper changes, questions, communication, etc. (Doing so at this point helps keep this from being a distraction later.) Now, continue to relax.

Remember that you are allowing yourself to perceive, feel, and Know any changes or communications. Remember, too, that you are not going to question or doubt during the meditation; you can do so afterwards but in meditation you are going to focus on/follow what comes to you.

Begin Your Focus

1 – Reiterate to self your intent of Loving Neutrality, and begin to “follow” this intent

2 – Focus on Peace until it stimulates you in a wonderful way

3 – Allow thoughts to drift on by, don’t fight them

4 – Focus on the Stillness, the Sacred Silence, allowing it to expand

5 – Focus on the deepening Peace

6 – Focus straight ahead and allow this to open you and broaden your awareness

7 – Sustain the focus until something changes regarding the level you stated in the beginning

(If you haven’t noticed something, expand your perception left, right, up, down)

8 – Return to your Friend, your body/mind, when you feel guided

9 – Remain for awhile in a state of Gratitude

_________

Briefly record your experience

Being Aware

Exercise #1
AL: You may or may not in your meditations have been able to achieve Loving Neutrality yet to the extent that I have described it, but having Loving Neutrality as an intent in your heart is your key. You know it. God knows it. Those guiding you know it. And you believe all is of one accord in your intent to attain it.

So, having attained your state of peacefulness and relaxation, not fighting thoughts but just allowing them to drift on by, begin to focus now directly in front of you. Just keep your focus directly ahead. This, interestingly, creates a field of energy that is you. Thoughts and things can’t break through that because you are the power — your mind, your, spirit, your emotions — you have control over them, if you allow your Authority to assume that control (and assuming you have begun as outlined above with prayer, etc).

Very often, people are unaware of things that are happening or appearing in their meditation. Looking straight ahead, also interestingly enough, actually opens the field, broadens the awareness of experiences going on around and about. If you are perceiving darkness, then focus on the center point of the darkness in front of you. Sustain that focus until something changes, and it will change, I assure you… a spot of light, a symbol… Something will change.

After you have focused directly ahead for a time, even if you have received a symbol of some sort, expand your perception as though you are looking to the left, right, up, down, and perceive if there are any other indicators that could serve as the starting point for your journey. People I’ve guided often have said to me, “Im not getting anything.” I would say, “Yes you are. Look around. Turn your consciousness to the left. Now turn to the right.”  Most often, people would, very excitedly, perceive something they hadn’t before.

Be at peace with this first exercise. If it guides you to explore further in that session, by all means, go with it; if you feel it is time to “return”, then follow that guidance. When you have reached the conclusion, express your gratitude for what has been given to you prior to opening your eyes. Remain in that state of gratitude for as long as you feel guided to. Sometimes it is even in this state that the answer to your prayerful intent comes to you. Either way, it is a beautiful time to just Be with your Creator and those who love you, unseen.

Closing Comments
Once in awhile, I have found that I couldn’t get past “obstacles” to the extent that I was not able to find the Neutrality. When this happens, I stop trying. I get up, get something to drink, wash my hands and face, walk around little, step outside for a bit… things such as this. But as I do these, I’m continuing to look for a feeling of Neutrality. Remember, that is a key to journeying into Consciousness. Sometimes, though rare yet, I’m still not able to reach the feeling of complete Neutrality, so I set the reading/meditation aside for another time or even to the next day, knowing that the energies involved will have an opportunity to balance during that space.

Knowing ahead of the meditation, expecting, that you will get something is a powerful energy that helps make that happen and most often will guarantee what you would deem a success, an answer to your intent, something you do feel truly grateful for having experienced. It’s possible that it will be in a form that is not immediately understandable, like symbols in a dream.

Keeping Notes
Keep notes about your meditations: what your intent was, what your prayer was, review what appeared/did not appear. These notes can be very helpful in evidencing something to you that, upon review, you might otherwise have missed, and you can make a breakthrough based on that one point. So it’s good to keep a journal and look at these experiences from time to time. You will see that you are making progress when it sometimes may seem that you aren’t.

Questions Please
As this series progresses, I will continue with Lama Sing’s encouragement towards emphasizing the “simplicity, knowing the clear pathway, and moving out of the illusion into Consciousness and Oneness with the Master.”

From Lama Sing: We have asked our brother, the Channel, to share this, and we do so, again. For the simplicity of his belief and his ‘procedure’ (if you would call it such) is a very clear pathway for you, to move out of the illusion and into Consciousness and oneness with the Master.  -Mar 11, ‘17

AL: There are various states of being into which people can move and experience a high degree of peace and well-being, a higher level of connection with consciousness, with nature, with others… in other words, altered states we’ve learned to move to that feel really good and renew our spirit, for some people, dramatically so. Some examples of these could be singing or painting, walking on a beautiful trail, gardening, floating in a pool, going for a long drive in the countryside, etc. There are so many ways we can move our state of consciousness from the busy-busy of mass-mind to one of peace and utter well-being. In these states, it’s good to know that we are being contributive to mass-mind thought and nourishing our own body, emotion, mind, and spirit.

In all of these examples, though (and many more, of course), it’s probably apparent that you have to be cognizant of your body. I am one who loves to float in the water and can do so for long periods of time; it renews my spirit and I love it. But as freeing as this is, as blissful as it can be, I still have to maintain some awareness of my body in order to stay afloat. If I were gardening, some part of me would be aware of using the shears safely. Taking a walk on a quiet road, in what I might call a “walking meditation”, my subconscious is aware of the sound of approaching traffic or where to safely place my feet.

My intent in these coming Columns is to help you make your way into “C” Consciousness, where there is no need, even for your subconscious mind, to be tethered to the finite. For, when in Consciousness, your Spirit is the Authority overseeing your well-being so that, even in an emergency such as the sudden presence of smoke, your Spirit will awaken you to possible dangers.

When I move to a deep state of Consciousness, I have no concern or thoughts of my finite being. When I have moved into Consciousness in preparation for a reading, I have no such awareness. I leave Earthly experiences behind and move into the vastness of eternal Consciousness with no limiting thoughts or influences, whatsoever, that could limit my Freedom.

What I intend to share with you in the following columns is how I do that.
